We will analyse a number of case studies of
products designed according to the vision of a circular economy in Germany and a
second country (to be decided).
The case studies will serve to generate fine-grained insights into complex innovation and transformation processes different industry sectors that largely
rely on agriculture or forest-based raw materials. To do so, the team collaborates with highly relevant industry associations and selected companies from these sectors. They not only aid in data
collection but
accompany the project on an ongoing basis to
constantly assure practical relevance of the research questions and findings. P
articipation does not involve financial or commercial benefits. It opens up possibilities for novel collaborations and ideas for more circular products and production processes and
enables the communication of opportunities and challenges to political decision makers and civil society organizations. Furthermore, partners gain direct insights into preliminary results and
access to relevant scientific and practitioner networks.
